Cheques Awarded to Outstanding Eastern Province School Students Batticaloa | Eastern Province A special ceremony was held to award cheques to outstanding school students from the Trincomalee, Batticaloa, and Ampara districts, with the objective of encouraging and motivating students of the Eastern Province to excel in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The beneficiaries were students from Eastern Province schools who demonstrated exceptional talent by winning gold medals at the national level, securing medals at the provincial level, and participating in international competitions. The financial assistance was provided through the Eastern Province Governor’s Trust Fund in recognition of their achievements and dedication. The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Hon. Member of Parliament Mr. Kandasamy Prabha, District Government Agent Mr. J. Arul Raj, Eastern Province Governor’s Coordinating Secretary Mr. U.K.M. Abdullah, Eastern Province Additional Director of Education Mr. Karthiban, Batticaloa Zonal Director of Education Mr. Ravi Kalkuda, and Zonal Director of Education Mr. Ananda Rupan.
